Restrooms for dummies

Why does life have to be so confusing at times. As you can see in the picture above the proprietor of this particular restroom had the forward thinking to label the soap dispenser. However this proved to be irrelevant as I was unable to locate a sign to let me know where the sink was…go figure?

Yes, I’ll have the $65k Hyundai please

I recently saw a commercial for a luxury automobile with a very common name. I have no doubt that it was a nice car and maybe it’s just me but if I’m gonna pay a luxury price then give the car a luxury name, Honda’s luxury line is Acura, Toyota’s luxury line is Lexus, and apparently Hyundai’s luxury line is Hyundai? I can see the old confused lady that spent 65k on her Hyundai getting out of the car at a gas station, someone may ask her “hey nice car, what is it?”..oh this is a Hyundai young man, I’m sure at that point the young man has to contain his laughter while feeling sorry for the old lady. It reminds me of the movie Demolition Man where every restaurant is Taco Bell, will every car be a Hyundai in the future..lets hope not. Forget the Acura, Lexus, BMW, or the Mercedes…give me that Hyundai.

Crazy Eights

Has anyone here ever played crazy eights?…anyone…anyone…anyone…bueller…yeah I know that’s a old joke and I really don’t care if you’ve played crazy eights…it’s just been about eight months since I have posted you with my greatness and I know it’s been a hard eight months without coasterridr and I’m going to try and post within eight days from now on…ok?…anyone…anyone…anyone

If your mad, make someone else glad…

 

Yes, I know our daily lives are full of disappointing crap that you don’t need added to all the other crap that you already worry about when your trying to sleep on your old uncomfortable mattress at 3am in the morning. But let’s say for instance that a certain crappy situation really pisses you off…what do you do about it?…No not the killing spree, bad idea…I have found that by being nice to someone or giving someone something can totally wipe out anything that may be bothering you. It’s even better if you can take the negative and make it benefit someone, then the negative turns into a positive. I can’t tell you how to do this because it is different for every situation…so just do it…it works. If you get mad and draw a blank on making it positive just repeat the title of this post 500 times, by number 100 you will be mad for a whole different reason.

Be careful if you plan on setting off fireworks this 4th, just a side note it wouldn’t be a bad idea to videotape your fireworks…they make the funniest YouTube videos.

A Prayer for Peace

I think everyone on the planet probably knows the song, it has been the subject of many jokes. But to me while I do understand the reason for the jokes I also know what the song really means. Something that many may not know is that this song was somewhat re-arranged by the Disney Company. So in reality the jokes about the song are in reference to the way that they changed the tempo and feel of the song. This song was crated by Master songwriters Richard and Robert Sherman, two brothers who never really associate in a social manner but were able to create the songs of our childhood when working together. So below you can read the lyrics of “It’s a small world” and don’t cringe, just read it and remember that it’s a Prayer for Peace. At first glance you may think that my blog header is just a set of random pictures…well think again. First I’ll describe what the pictures are then we’ll move on to the meaning. Picture #1 Spaceship Earth at Epcot Center, #2 The now demolished Texas Cyclone at the now demolished Houston Astroworld, #3 Angel statue at Epcot Center’s World Showcase, #4 A roadside mountain stream between Pigeon Forge TN and Gatlinburg TN, #5 A Seagul. Now what do these pictures tell you about Coasterridr?…..That I am always looking toward the future with respect for the past, I try to be a angel to others and go with the flow and the seagull was nice enough to pose. So now you have a psychological profile of Coasterridr….As if the blog hasn’t given you one yet.

Life and Time moves pretty fast

Life, Time….I guess they both move fast, well actually they can’t exist without each other. Many people say that you should stop and smell the roses. I learned long ago that you have to find your own roses in life because in many cases your rose will lose it’s sweet scent, so it’s good to always be looking for a rose, a fresh one if you will. Now a rose can be a person (those are the kind that can lose the sweet scent) a rose can be a happy place, a rose can be a thought, a good memory, it can be whatever you need it to be.  I’ve had some of the best roses that anybody could ask for, some lost their scent, some were taken away. Since a rose can be anything, I thought I would share this youtube video of one of my roses, it’s a rose I used to seek out at a store that was located in a place that I don’t really like to be, now the store is closed but when I end up at that place I try to find a new rose each time. So be sure to stop and look around so life won’t pass you by (Ferris Bueller), cause we know that Life and Time moves pretty fast…..

Let Mother Nature kill off the stupid

Too much info...

It’s no secret that I love Florida, and this sign has always made me laugh and wonder…why is it necessary to have line 1 and 2 on this sign? If I happened to be thinking about wading or swimming the “Do not feed the alligators” line would help me decide that perhaps the wading and swimming would be a bad idea. So I have to wonder, did the sign once only say “Do not feed the alligators”? Did it take somebody that decided to have a nice swim without feeding the alligators for the whole scene to end up on the evening news? Did this event make the property owners add more to the sign? In some cases we should let Mother Nature kill off the stupid, all you have to do is watch animals in thier natural habitat, if they are weak, they die…now I understand that we as compasionate human beings won’t let people that are weak just die off….but I’m talking about stupidity, if someone is actually that stupid to require this whole sign….I say let Mother Nature do her thing, gators gotta eat too.
